Klinkhammer, David Earl Sr Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great- Grandfather, age 82, of St. Paul, MN was born in Fargo, ND. His family later moved to St. Paul, MN. He was a 1945 Harding High School graduate after which he joined the Navy and served on the USS Grand Canyon (AD-28) spending much of his time in the Mediterranean. Dave, a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, was involved in Boy Scouts most of his life, and served as Scoutmaster for Troop 220, committee member, merit badge counselor and neighborhood commissioner until 2008. A longtime member of Maplewood and St. Croix Rockhound Clubs. Dave received many awards including WCCO Good Neighbor Award 1975, Ramsey County Senior Citizen of the Year 2006 and numerous scouting awards. He retired from the St. Paul Library System after working there for 34 years. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Avis; son, David Earl Klinkhammer, Jr. Survived by son, John J. (Sandra); daughter, Jean A. (Larry) Cummings; and daughter-in-law, Carol A.; six grandchildren, David R., Carol A. (Scott); Alex J. (Carrie); Marya (Jeff); Stephen J. (Megan); Daniel J. (Mollie); eleven great-grandchildren, Zackery, Madison, Thomas, John, Christopher, Lilyanna, Maggie, Joe, Emma, Madi, Aiden; and sisters, Janet (Del) Conroy, Gladys (Bill) Muir and Louise (Darrell) Smith. Visitation 3-7 PM Monday at WULFF FUNERAL HOME, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul. Funeral Service 11 AM Tuesday, September 15 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 1965 E. Sherwood Ave., St. Paul, with visitation 1 hr. prior to service at church. Private Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Mahtomedi.
